PDB-711-10 Overview
The Bulk protects these photodiodes from damage. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in TO-5 Variant, 4 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages for safety purposes. Continuously reverse-biasing photodiodes can withstand 15V voltage. A continuous reverse-bias voltage of 15V should be maintained for the photodiodes. It is possible for a photodiode to produce 1nA even without light input.
