To prevent damage to the devices, PTC thermistors are packaged in 0603 (1608 Metric) packages. PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR) for the purpose of protecting them from damage. For PTC thermistors, the minimum operating temperature should be -55°C. In order for this thermistor to function properly, the operating temperature must not exceed 150°C. There should be a maximum capability for the thermistor to transfer and conduct this power loss without overheating.
