Bridge sensor signal amplification and sensor-specific correction are accomplished using the CMOS integrated circuit ZSC31150. Digital calibration coefficients are saved in an EEPROM, and a 16-bit RISC microcontroller internally runs a correction algorithm to digitally compensate for sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature drift, and non-linearity.
The ZSC31150 can be adjusted for almost every bridge sensor type. The analog voltage output or the digital ZACwireTM and I 2C interface both supply the measured values. An on-chip EEPROM can be programmed with a set of calibration coefficients using the digital interface and a straightforward PC calibration technique.
